There have been some changes to the descriptions of your Attainment and Effort grades. Have a look below to see exactly what is meant by those grades in your book...

Attainment Grades

A*  -  My work is of an exceptionally high standard. I have done all that was expected by the teacher and more.
A  -  My work is of a high standard. I have done all that was expected of me.
B  -  My work is of a good standard. I have done all the work to the standard expected.
C  -  My work is of an adequate standard and needs more attention to detail.
D  -  My work is below the expected standard. I appear not to have understood. I need to talk to my teacher.

Effort Grades

1  -  Excellent. I work very hard in lessons. I always carry out homework in a very positive way. I am well organised and hand in work on time.
2  -  Good. I work hard. I am generally well organised and my work is done on time. I do more than the minimum but there is scope for more effort to be made.
3  -  Just adequate. I do just enough to achieve a reasonable standard overall but I am not fulfilling my potential in all areas.
4  -  Poor. I am not making an adequate effort in my work and this is causing concern.
